Thayne Moore is our clinical intern. He is finishing his Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling through University of Nebraska at Kearney this spring. Thayne feels it is a humbling honor to be allowed into the deepest parts of a client's life. The wounded and challenging parts of our lives are often the areas we protect the most, from ourselves and others. Thayne helps clients navigate this inward journey with wisdom and tenderness.
For the past 20 years Thayne had served those individuals, their families, friends, and facilities who were on the hospice journey in the Kearney and surrounding region. Providing emotional, relational, spiritual, and bereavement support at this sacred period of life for all those impacted their loves ones journey. As well, Thayne has spent several years working in the corrections field. This work experience has formed a basis for his philosophy that everyone needs a second chance, but there are those who were never given their first chance.
These experiences coupled with his own healing journey have formed the basis for his passion to see people grow in their healing and wholeness. Thayne can help those who are working through grief, loss, anticipatory grief, chronic, and terminal disease process. Additionally, he helps those who are dealing with the erosion of one's sense of self resulting from debilitating shame, neglect, guilt, and feelings helplessness.
Thayne loves spending time and connecting with his 3 daughters, as well as passionately watching Husker volleyball together. Despite his best efforts to shield himself from seasons of heartbreak, he remains a diehard Husker football fan, he also loves watching Shrinking, The Office, Brooklyn 99, other mindless sitcoms, and reading.
