Melissa joined MECC as a clinical intern in January 2024 and transitioned to a PLMHP after earning her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health from Chadron State College in December 2024.
Melissa provides person-centered therapy for teens and adults, fostering a nonjudgmental, supportive space where clients feel heard and empowered. Integrating attachment theory, Melissa helps clients explore how early relationships influence emotional well-being and patterns in current relationships.
Melissa also incorporates somatic therapy, guiding clients to connect with their bodies, release stored tension, and develop emotional resilience. Additionally, Melissa specializes in supporting individuals struggling with emotional eating, body image concerns, and the psychological aspects of weight loss surgery.
Melissa loves writing, reading, singing, going to the movies, and spending time with her family. She loves to spend time with her dogs and cat. She loves yoga, walking, meditation, and does not mind going outside if the weather is just right. Melissa loves to laugh and can find humor in almost any situation.
For flexibility, Melissa primarily offers telehealth sessions, with limited in-office appointments available.
